Consequences are just another bump in the road of life.
I was walking down the road and I come apon a halfway tipped over parking meter. I was only 10 at the time and I had the idea to kick it fully over. First kick, the meter dropped to the floor. My Dad finishes up shopping and walks outside to see me and a parking me on the ground. He has the impression (Which was true) that I had knocked over the meter. He said "We'll talk in the car". Our conversation was short with the "I didn't think" excuse used multiple times throughout it and ended with a 2 week grounding.
I decided to take the consequences as it was fair to what I did. The consequences that I had received had made me think before I did something. Yes. I hated being punished but consequences were a good learning experience for me.
Without consequences we wouldn't be the people we are today
